Obituary of Donald Duane Gusarson

Donald Duane Gusarson Donald Duane Gusarson passed away on June 13, 2011 at his home in Los Gatos. He was 61. Donald was born on May 24, 1950 in Sioux Falls, SD to Vi and Carl Gusarson. He and his brother Doug were raised in Sioux Falls. Donald was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in South Dakota. Donald graduated with honors from Washington High School in 1968. He graduated from the University of South Dakota in 1972, and went on to earn a Master's Degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, Ca. Donald taught classes in Accounting and Taxation at U.C.S.C., Golden Gate University, and Cabrillo College. He served as a Certified Public Accountant in the Santa Cruz area for 30+ years. He was a member of Santa Cruz Bible Church. Donald is survived by his wife of 29 years, Claudia Gusarson, and their daughter Elizabeth Dawn Gusarson, as well as his mother, Violet Gusarson, and brother, Doug Gusarson. He was predeceased by his father, Carl Gusarson, in 1967 at the age of 51. A Memorial Service will be held for Donald on Friday, June 24th at Calvary Chapel of Aptos, 8065 Valencia Rd., beginning at 1 pm. A private burial will take place for his family and close friends. Donald was a loving son, husband and father. He will be dearly missed by many!
