Obituary of Andrea Heilbron

Andrea 'Andy' Heilbron Services will be held in Aptos on August 11 for Andy Heilbron who peacefully ended her 13 year battle with Cancer at her Soquel home on August 1, 2013. Born in LaGrande, Oregon, she would have celebrated her 62nd Birthday on August 10th. Andy was raised in various southern California cities before spending her formative years in San Diego. After initially dropping out of college, she moved to Santa Cruz which she called home for the past 41 years. Andy worked for Courtney Associates and Dominican Hospital for 35 years as a Physical Therapist - respected and loved by patients and colleagues alike. She was a friend to all, and leaves many behind who will miss her thoughtfulness, care, and genuine interest for everyone she met. She was an avid outdoors and cold water lady, though warm water was welcome too. Some of her fondest experiences were hiking and camping in the high Sierra and swimming in the ocean, particularly Hanalei Bay in Hawaii. Andy is survived by her two sons, David and Patrick Heilbron Kingston and her former husband Dean Kingston of Santa Cruz, as well as her countless friends and goats. Friends are invited to a memorial service that will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Temple Beth El (3055 Porter Gulch Road) in Aptos, beginning at 1 pm, with light refreshments to follow. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Home of Peace Jewish Cemetery in Santa Cruz. Any kind acts of charity may be made in her memory to one's local Hospice Organization.
