Obituary of Barbara Lynn Terry

Barbara Lynne Terry Barbara Lynne Terry passed away in her home in Scotts Valley on June 4, 2011. She was 52. She had lived with heart problems for 16 years. Barbara was born on April 23, 1959 in Rochester, Minn. to Howard and Doreen Terry. She lived in Minn. until the age of 6 when the family moved to Santa Cruz, Ca. She graduated from Soquel High and then attended St. Luke's School of Nursing in San Francisco where she got her RN degree. After school she returned to Scotts Valley and worked as a registered nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Gatos, Los Gatos Hospital, and Community Hospital in Santa Cruz. Barbara's number one love was photography, but she also enjoyed keeping active. She took pleasure in boating and waterskiing, and playing basketball and softball with her friends. She always loved music and playing the guitar. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Howard Terry, and her mother, Doreen Terry. She is survived by her sisters, Joanne Terry Gregg and husband Rodney C. Gregg, Pat Terry McDonald and husband Eldon McDonald, Linda Terry Azevedo, and her brother, William Davis Terry. Barbara leaves behind her niece, Callie Gregg, and nephews, Brandon Gregg, and Cody Azevedo. A small Memorial will be held on Saturday, June 18th beginning at 2 pm at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz.
