Obituary of Ronnie Jay Castro

Ronnie died at home unexpectedly at the young age of 48. He is survived by his wife Mary and his children, Julian and Gabby. He also leaves his parents Judith and Julian Charles Castro; his brothers Robbie, Richard (Kris), and sisters Cathy and Debbie, along with several nieces and nephews. Ronnie was an accomplished outdoorsman. Fishing, surfing,camping and wake boarding were his passions. He was an avid photographer, sharing his photos with family and friends. He worked for Cemex for 25 years as a heavy equipment operator. Most recently, Ronnie was doing independent work at Dellamore Ranch. He was born and raised in Santa Cruz and was proud to be a local. He loved to fish with his son and was very proud of Gabby's musical performances with the Santa Cruz High School Cardinal Regimine.
