Obituary of Marjorie Hadveck

Marjorie Hadveck passed away in her sleep early Saturday, November 19, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Bill and by her oldest son, David. Marjorie lived in Santa Cruz since 1969 when Bill retired after 21 years of serving in the U.S. Air Force. Marjorie was a native of Newton le Willows in Lancashire, England where she met her husband while he was stationed at Burtonwood AFB. Marjorie was the youngest daughter of Jack and Molly Austin, and the sister of James, also passed on, and Marion, who lives in Canada. Marjorie is survived by daughters Kelly Hadveck, Laurel Palleson, and son John Hadveck, grandchildren Jillian, Amanda, Heather and Robin, as well as two great-grandchildren Aiden and Avery. During life, Marjorie traveled and backpacked through Europe, ran a wonderful home, was an accomplished knitter and sewed extensively for her family. Besides caring for family, Marjorie donated to the Veterans and Red Cross as well as local charities. Marjorie was a shy, proud, and intelligent woman who loved her family and we will miss her. The funeral service for Marjorie will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11 am at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz.
