Obituary of John Joseph Kuhry

John J. Kuhry passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning. He was 87 years old. Born in Oriska, ND to Louis and Anna Kuhry, John was the youngest of 10 children. John's career as a civil engineer took him from the Pan-American railroad in South America, war-torn Vietnam, mines in Africa, and the oil fields in Alaska, Iran, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. John was an avid chess player and loved poker and Pollyanna. John is survived by his sister Florence Rollins, his former wife Than Thi Kuhry and their children, John William Kuhry, Kim Julie Kuhry, and Brandy Ann Kuhry and grand-daughter, Alyssa Lan. The family will be having a private memorial to be held at the Kuhry residence on Sunday.
