Obituary of John Marshall Bond

John M. Bond passed away on Thursday, June 28, after a long battle with liver failure. He was born in Santa Cruz, the son of Hazel E. Nelson and the late John P. Bond. John was a radio and cell phone technician for most of his working life. He had an Associate in Science Degree from Cabrillo, and had a great love and knowledge of chemistry. John is survived by his mother, Hazel E. Nelson, his sister Betty S. Montgomery, his nephew Christopher Ball, and other numerous nieces and nephews. John was known for his love of animals, his voracious appetite for reading, and his vast knowledge of chemistry, astronomy, math, and quantum physics. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Pacific Gardens Chapel. In lieu of flowers a contribution to Janus of Santa Cruz, 200 7th Ave., Suite 150, Santa Cruz, CA, 95062 would be greatly appreciated.
