Obituary of Bernard Ivan Bricmont

On Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 Bernard Ivan Bricmont passed from this world surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in San Jose, CA and known as "Barney" to most who knew him, he was a beloved, respected and well known member of the Santa Cruz community for over 40 years. He was a man who not only held strong beliefs and principles; he acted on them every day of his life. He had an active, curious mind and a will to leave this world better than he found it. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Nicole Bricmont and son in law Martin Freeborn, his brother Richard Bricmont, sister in law Carolyn Bricmont, brother and sister in law John and Dianne Hawk, brother in law Dave Cirigliano. Nieces Amy Bricmont Tarczy, Elizabeth Bricmont Jarrett and Gina Cirigliano. Nephews Nicholas Cirigliano and David Cirigliano. May we all be inspired by the fact that he was a man of principle and action, but mostly, he was a man with a huge heart, a love for humanity and was always there for his community, and of course, his family. A Memorial Service will be held for Bernard on Fri. Dec. 16th beginning at 2 pm at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz.
