Obituary of Judith Arlene Hernandez

Judith "Judy" Arlene Hernandez (White), 71, died on February 6, 2013 surrounded by her family after a short battle with cancer. Judy was a life-long Santa Cruz county resident. She was born in Watsonville in 1941 and graduated from Watsonville High School, Class of 1960. In addition to being a loving mother and a great cook, Judy enjoyed volunteering as a Pink Lady for Dominican Hospital and her work with the Miss California pageant during the 1980s. She also enjoyed working at Seagate for several years. Judy is survived by her six children and their families: Gregory Pacheco of Boise, ID, Steven Pacheco of Watsonville, Marc Pacheco of Santa Cruz, Martin Hernandez of Scotts Valley and Tiffany Hernandez and Allison (Hernandez) Ruddick of Aptos. She is also survived by her siblings Martha Close (White) of Roseville and Paul White of Santa Cruz and by her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Francis White and her husband Marty Hernandez. A private memorial will be held at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
