Obituary of Rose Kaiser

Rose Kaiser passed away September 6, 2012 at Oak Tree Villa at the age of 96. She was born on September 23, 1915 in Plainfield, New Jersey, the daughter of Isadore and Lena (Baronofsky) Wolchok. A long time resident of Buffalo, New York, Rose moved to Santa Cruz County six years ago after living for a time in Florida. She was a resident of Oak Tree Villa where she was grateful for the many friendships she has made. Rose enjoyed playing the piano and dancing. She also enjoyed art projects and had a keen interest in Democratic politics. Rose was survived by her son, Jerry M. Kaiser and his wife, Kim Allen of Boulder Creek; her grandson, Kristofer Boccio and his wife, Ashy, two great grandchildren, Avianna and Natalia Boccio. Rose was preceded in death by her husbands, Lew Cohen in 1953 and Norman Kaiser in 1985 and her son, Robert Cohen in 1943. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rebecca Barker, MD, Dr. Neil Sawhney, MD and the staffs of Hospice of Santa Cruz County and Oak Tree Villa for the loving care shown to Rose. Local arrangements are under the care of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. Services and interment will take place in Amherst, New York.
