Obituary of Juli Vaune Entwistle

JULI VAUNE ENTWISTLE Services will be held in Santa Cruz on Tuesday and Wednesday for Juli Entwistle who died at her Santa Cruz home on July 24, 2010 at the age 41. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she has been a resident of the Santa Cruz area for more than 15 years. Juli worked as a medical receptionist for a time, and was currently beginning a new career upon her acceptance to a San Francisco culinary school. A talented cook and artistically creative, Juli made custom jewelry boxes, as well as other craft projects that gained popularity throughout the Santa Cruz area. Juli Vaune , as she was called by her family, was born to Marcella Goodwin on September 15, 1968. After years of attempting to have a baby, Julius and Betty Bigham, Marcella's brother and his wife, were blessed with the privilege of adopting baby Juli. All parents and two sisters, Antonia Annelle Goodwin and Avis Ramona Hall, have preceded Juli in death. Juli is survived by her brothers and sisters, Frank Goodwin of Los Angeles, Risa Durley of Palm Springs, Steve Goodwin of Menifee, Terry Goodwin of Richmond, Gregory Goodwin of Richmond, Ellen Arlon of Los Angeles, Gina Smith of Los Angles, Margo Gordon of Berkeley, Todd Goodwin of Los Angeles and Toby Goodwin of Los Angeles, as well as a host of loving nieces and nephews, cousins and assorted family members. Juli also leaves her former husband and friend, John Entwistle, and her very dear friend Tiffany Lang, as well as many caring friends and neighbors in the Santa Cruz and surrounding areas. Friends may pay their respects at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel on Tuesday, August 3, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday , August 4th, beginning at 11 a.m. at the chapel.
