Obituary of Cresoline C. Silva

Cresoline Silva passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 14, 2013, at the age of 89. She was born on November 18, 1923 in Grascio Azores Portugal to John and Marianna Guill. Cresoline came to America in 1935, and had lived in the Santa Cruz area since 1947. Cresoline belonged to many clubs in the area, including, Brotherhood of St. Anthony, C.P.D.E.S., Knights of Columbus and a number of other Portuguese organizations. Cresoline was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Silva. A visitation will be held for Cresoline at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from 3:00-6:00 pm with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 515 Frederick St. in Santa Cruz beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service, at Holy Cross Cemetery, 2271 7th Ave. in Santa Cruz.
