Obituary of Marcelle Pauline Van Hulle

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in honor of Marcelle Van Hulle on February 27, 2013. She peacefully passed away on February 21, 2013 at the age of 98. Born in Brussels, Belgium on January 4, 1915, she moved from there to Ben Lomond with her husband Henri in 1953. She was a long time parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church in Felton, and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed being a homemaker. Her family will always cherish the many memories of her home that was a welcoming comfort to all, the wonderful meals that she prepared, and her talents at gardening. After her husband Henri passed away in 1970, she traveled extensively, visiting all of their relatives in Belgium. She is survived by her daughter, Jeannine Sirles of Ben Lomond, her son and daughter in-law, Lucien and Anne Marie Van Hulle of Cathedral City, CA, and her sister, Irene Vanderhaegan of Belgium. Mrs. Van Hulle also leaves her six loving grandchildren, and seven great granddaughters. Friends may pay their respects at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 3 p.m until 7 p.m. The mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. John's Church (Highway 9 and Russell Ave.) in Felton beginning at 11 a.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning 25 minutes prior to the mass. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery beside her husband Henri, immediately following the mass.
