I am deeply sorry this tragic thing has occurred. The Bible says at Psalms 55:22 says, "Throw your burden on God". This scripture tells us we can let God heal our grief. God through the Bible gives us comfort at the proper time.

Was sad to hear of your father’s passing. He was a very good common sense business man but a much better politician and advocate for positive community programs. News of his passing should be on the front page of the sentinel but Santa Cruz has changed so much, a lot of the Santa Cruz residents probably, unfortunately for them, don’t know who he was.

My interactions with Norm, beginning in the early 1990's, were infrequent but always memorable and enjoyable (starting a Monterey Bay Wednesday sail race with a blast of the air horn and then "dousing the mizzen" during the race being particular highlights for this admitted landlubber).
Though centered on a business relationship around sourcing leather from Salz Tanning, Norm made me feel like family and was as honest and decent a man as I have met.
I am proud to have known Norm. May he Rest in Peace.
