Obituary of Clarence Richard Strauch

Clarence Richard Strauch Clarence "Dick" Strauch passed away on February 16, 2011 in Santa Cruz at the age of 81. Dick was born in Sacramento, CA to Carl and Frieda Strauch. He was raised in Sacramento and graduated from CK McClatchy High School in 1947. Dick moved to Santa Cruz in 1963 and worked for ACE Lumber, which became San Lorenzo Lumber in 1978. He worked there until his retirement in 1993. Dick enjoyed gardening and golf and in his younger years playing baseball. He also volunteered for the Greybears. Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Jane Strauch of Soquel, his sons, Rick Strauch of Scotts Valley and Bill Strauch of Santa Cruz, his sister, Dorothy Myers of Sacramento, 3 grandsons and 1 great-grandson.
