Obituary of Isabel Beatrice Baldhosky

Isabel B. (Relvas) Baldhosky Services will be Tuesday for Isabel Baldhosky who passed away on August 22, 2011 at Our Lady of Fatima Villa in Saratoga. She was 84. Isabel was born on February 4, 1927 in Patterson, California. She was the daughter of Joel and Fannie (Souza) Relvas. She grew up in Patterson and was a graduate of Patterson High School, Class of 1945. Following a short time in Hilmar she moved to Santa Cruz where she has lived since except for the last few years due to her declining health. She was a member of the Aptos Grange, the Cabrillo Civic Club and was an active volunteer at the Senior Center and the annual Senior-o-Rama. Isabel enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, deep sea fishing and traveling. Earlier in her life she fished in Alaska and also attended a school of Floristry. Isabel was also a talented organist. Isabel married Joseph Baldhosky, Sr. on October 22, 1977 and the couple enjoyed many wonderful years together until Joe's death in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her friend and companion Jack Frank who she enjoyed trips to Reno and time spent gambling. She is survived by her son, Richard Silva and his wife, Jill of Santa Cruz; daughter, Patricia Kutscher and her husband Randy of Hays, KS; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Artie Mello, Richard Mello and Tyler Silva. Services will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, CA. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at Pacific Gardens Chapel on Monday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
