Obituary of Georgia Ayers

Georgia Wilma Ayers passed away on December 30, 2013 at home with her family by her side, she was 72 years old. Georgia was born in Watsonville, California on June 30, 1942 to Frank L. Valla and Alma Inez Valla (Twitchell). She attended Moreland Notre Dame and graduated from Watsonville High School. Georgia has resided in Watsonville, Tulare, Morgan Hill, New Almaden, San Jose, Boulder Creek and then settling in Ben Lomond where she has resided since 1976. Georgia worked as a Bookkeeper, Secretary and as a Teacher's Aide at Boulder Creek Elementary School. Georgia enjoyed knitting, reading books and was active with the San Lorenzo Valley Little League. Georgia was a member of St. John's Church and a member of the Altar Society. Georgia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Phillip A. Ayers; her sons, Michael Ayers and his wife Sheryl, Robert Ayers and his wife Clare, and Kevin Ayers; her brother, Eugene L. Valla and his wife Suzanne; her brother-in-laws, Raymond Ayers and his wife Betty, Norman Ayers and his wife Kathy; sister-in-laws, Carol Ann Sales and her husband Adrian, and Hazel Skogland. Georgia is also survived by ten Grandchildren, one Great-Granddaughter, five Nephews, three Nieces and one Aunt. Georgia is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Frank L.Valla and Alma Inez Valla (Twitchell). A visitation for Georgia will be held on Monday, January 6, 2013 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at St. John's Church 120 Russell Avenue in Felton, followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 beginning at 11:00 a.m. A private committal will be held at the Felton Cemetery.
