Obituary of John Patrick Roddy

For the past 25 years John and his wife Virginia have resided in the Santa Cruz area, and John enjoyed all that the area had to offer. He was an avid surfer, and had great enthusiasm for keeping physically fit. John will be deeply missed by many, including his loving wife of 33 years Virginia Roddy; his son John Patrick Roddy Jr.; and his brother Peter Roddy. John was preceded in death by his son Matthew M. Roddy. A Celebration of John's Life is planned for Thursday, May 10, 2012 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Pacific Gardens Chapel ( 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA) with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all donations be made in John's name to hospice of Santa Cruz County (940 Disc Dr. Scotts Valley, CA)
