Obituary of Emilio Olimpio

Emilio Olimpio, Jr. passed away at his home in Davenport on August 6, 2013 with his wife and family by his side. He was 73. He was born in Davenport at the hospital for Lonestar Industries. He grew up in Davenport and has been a life long resident. J.R.'s passion was 50's music and classic cars. He owned a 1940 Cheverolet Convertible which he lovingly restored. He was a member of the Streetster Car Club and the Cam-Snappers Car Club and regularly attended Hot August Nights Car Show in Reno. He was also belonged to the Davenport Volunteer Rescue and Fire Department for 24 years and previously served as Captain. He leaves his wife, Bonnie; his children, Cheri, Leslie, Martin and Doug; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony, Jacqueline, Emilio, Timothy, Rachel, Mercedes and Chloe; and is also survived by two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald. A private family service are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel.
