Obituary of Norman Leroy Cates

Norman Leroy Cates passed away on December 23, 2010 in Aptos. He was 90. Norman was born in Oregon on November 21, 1920. He was a long time resident of Stockton, Ca. In 1939, Norman joined the U.S. Navy and retired from the Coast Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer. He worked as an electrician while in the Navy and later at PG&E for 25 years before he retired. He is survived by his daughter, Faye Cates; granddaughter, Maria Campbell; and sister, Ruth Ochsner, of Martinez, Ca.
