Obituary of Arnold Escalante Reyna

We celebrate the life of Arnold E. Reyna who passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013. He was born in San Diego, CA on May 24, 1939 to the late Ramon and Maria Luisa Reyna. He resided in Castroville until he married his wife Ofelia Pulido and moved to Scotts Valley in 1965. He was past president of the Lions Club of Scott's Valley; he received an Honorable Discharge for the California National Guard, and was a member of the San Agustin Parish as well as a Faithful Pilot 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus Padre Palou Assembly #069. He graduated from Hartnell College in Salinas and later received his Bachelor degree from San Jose State University. He retired from J.C. Pennys after more than 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife Ofelia P. Reyna after 48 years of marriage, daughters Liani Reyna and Rhonda Weiss, three grandchildren and sister Sally Figueroa, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Ramon Reyna, mother Maria Luisa, brothers Alfredo and Reuben Reyna, and sister Elva Estrada. Friends and family are invited to a viewing beginning at 9 a.m. and the memorial mass at 11:00 a.m. on July 1st at the Shrine of St. Joseph's, 544 W. Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz, CA with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at The Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA.
