Obituary of Marjorie Beatrice Lindsay

Marjorie Beatrice Lindsay passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 24, 2011 in Santa Cruz. She was eighty-six years old. Marge was born in Wewoka, OK on January 10, 1925 to Charles and Iva Sturges. She grew up in Texas and then moved to Santa Cruz in 1946. Marge owned and operated a store for 30 years called Ceramics By Marge. She loved making ceramics and she also enjoyed gardening. Marge is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Jimmie and Sandra Lindsay of Santa Cruz, and Ronald and Jill Lindsay of La Selva Beach, her daughter, Charlotte Thompson of Santa Cruz, her brother, Joe Sturges and his wife Marilyn of Soquel, her grandchildren, Joseph Lindsay, Rachelle Lindsay-Kay, Michelle Fasser, Richard Lindsay, Ericka Lindsay, Nathan Lindsay, Claire Lindsay, Michael Yonetani, Christopher Thompson, and Carlee Thompson, 10 great-grandchildren (with the eleventh on the way), and 3 nieces. Marge was preceded in death by her husband James B. Lindsay in 2000 and her son Richard Lindsay in 2007. A private family service will be held for Marge.
