Obituary of Randolph Lynn Ifland

Randolph Lynn Ifland June 10, 1951 - April 20, 2012 Resident of Live Oak Randy Ifland, 60, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on April 20th, 2012. He was born in Berkeley, CA to Harriet and Donald Ifland and graduated from Santa Cruz High in 1969. Randy passionately enjoyed gardening, photography, traveling, epic concert going, and disassembling your electronic devices when you weren't looking. His life changed dramatically and was opened to a whole new light of love and God's grace the day he became a grandpa to Kate. Randy will be greatly missed by a host of loving friends and his entire extended family at Plantronics. He was preceded in death by his parents Harriet and Don Ifland and is survived by his brothers Chris, Jeff, and Lindsey, his kids Ari and Nicole, as well as Dana and Brian, his granddaughter Katharine Elizabeth, and his last love Sheryl. A service will be held for Randy at Sunny Cove beach (100 block of Sunny Cove Dr.) in Santa Cruz at 7pm Saturday April 28th. Friends and loved ones are asked to bring your thoughts and memories to share. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made towards a memorial bench along East Cliff Drive overlooking our beautiful coast and Randy's final resting place.
