Obituary of Margaret Edna Castro

after a short battle with cancer. Margaret was a cherished Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and friend to all who met her. She was the ultimate peacebuilder who touched so many lives in her years of teaching for both Alisal and Pajaro Valley school districts. After her retirement in 2010 she loved nothing more than spending 'Wednesday's with Grandma' taking her grandchildren on various fun and educational afternoon trips. She is survived by her daughters Tracie Grosdidier (Chad), Trisha Castro and Megan Ramos (Paul,) her grandchildren Kristi Gonzalez, Jacob Grosdidier, William and Matthew Ramos and Tyler Grosdidier. She is also survived by her former husband and great friend Eddie J Castro and her brothers John and Tom Hourigan. She will be missed dearly by her many sister friends and teaching friends. There will be an open house Celebration of Life at Aptos Park on Saturday February 11th between the hours of 12 PM - 4 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Jacob's Heart or Hospice of Santa Cruz County.
