He met Lorraine Uldall in Santa Cruz in 1939 and they were married July 4, 1941. Bob was drafted into the US Army soon after and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He returned to California after the war and returned to his job working at Pacific Bell for the next 37 years. As a younger man he loved to pheasant hunt and rock pick abalone.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Lorraine, son Tom & wife Sherry, daughter JoAnn & husband Mike and son Bob. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren & sister Mary Jo Putnam.
Bob was a dedicated father, thoughtful, friendly & sensitive man. He loved his family more than anything and we feel lucky to have had him in our lives for so long.
