I will forever keep Monica's smile in my heart. We shared so many funny conversations & laughs at Jazzercise, Spafitness & at the beach. I remember trying to get her to try surfing & she went & sat on the beach because the kelp "creeped her out".
I dreamt about her on the beach & she told me that she would " be around" and then she was gone. She will always "be around" in all our memories of her beautiful smile.
Love You Monica

I have known no other person in my lifetime that held your love, patience and compassion for everyone you came in touch with you. I find comfort in knowng that you no longer face the pain and fear that life can bring, but in my own selfishness I all ready feel the void that our family faces without your presence. I will forever miss you...

dear Jack Jay and family,
I was so sorry to hear about monica's passing. She has always been so friendly to me when we have come over to the coast. We have shared plants with each other from our gardens, I will cherish the beautiful poppies that I have blooming now compliments of Monica. The last time I saw her was the week after Easter, she did not look well, but she came over to see me and just beamed as she told me all about her beautiful baptism. She seemed so at peace. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers, Love, Dennis and Caryl Brewer

I was so very sorry to hear of Monicas passing. Monica and I were friends and neighbors and she shared the same birthday as my late husband. She always thought that was very cool as did I too. Monica and I went surfing with our dear friend Gayle in Capitola for the very first time. I stuck with it but Monica didn't like the kelp touching her legs so she paddled in. She hung in there as long as she could in the water and then said "I'm going in". Gayle and I will always have that funny memory and I will always appreciate the occasion as I was on a borrowed board of Monica and Jack's kids. Surfing soon became my fuel, my passion and my meditation. Monica had a sweet soul and I will miss the opportunity to see her again here on earth. May she be forever happy and at peace in heaven. My heart is with all of the family at this very difficult time. Much Love to you all, Peggy Nelson
