Obituary of Suzanne Marie Dye

Suzanne Marie Dye Suzanne Marie Dye passed away, peacefully, into the hands of her Heavenly Father, on the morning of Saturday July 23, 2011 at the age of 85. She was at home with her loving husband, Donald E.Dye at her side, residing at 552 Bean Creek, ScottsValley which they have called home for the last eleven years. While living in the Montevalle Senior Community she served on several clubs and was President of the Investment Club known as "Money Bags". Suzanne was born on February 8, 1926 in Miami, Florida to the parents of Lucy Flournoy Brown and Richard R. Bryan but spent most of her early formative years in McCracken County, Kentucky. Suzanne was an exemplary student who excelled in high school and attended Paducah Junior College. At the age of 21, she married and starting raising a family. The following years would include residences in Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Indiana. In 1965, she and her children would move to California, where she has since lived. Once in California, Mrs. Dye continued her education, with stops at Merritt College and California State University, Hayward. Her work career culminated with an eleven year stint at Merritt College where she was the Business Officer of the college. Her surviving children are Linda F. Delorme (Ft. Myers Beach, FL), R. Thomas Dull (Fresno, CA), David M. Dull (Lake Oswego, OR), George A. Dull (Yorktown, IN), Rebecca J. Dye (Ben Lomond, CA) and Sherrie L. Dye (Novato, CA). She leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren who always received a card and small gift for birthdays and graduations from their caring grandmother. Suzanne has been an active member of the Felton Presbyterian Church over the last ten years. She was a member of the Women's Group and served on the church Finance Committee. A memorial service will be held for Suzanne Marie Dye on Friday, July 29th at 2:00 p.m. at the Felton Presbyterian Church in Felton, California.
