Obituary of Maria Guadalupe Vasquez

Maria "Lupita" Vasquez Maria Guadalupe Vasquez, passed away May 16, 2010 at Dominican Hospital at the age of 25. She was born in Stanford, California on February 13, 1985, the daughter of David and Magdalena (Bahena) Vasquez. She grew up in Santa Cruz County and was a graduated of Watsonville High School. She was currently a student at Cabrillo College and also was attending classes at UCSC. Lupita was described by her family as independent and very courageous, never letting her disability stand in her way. She was very devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe. She loved to dance, sing and also enjoyed making crafts. She is survived by her loving parents, David and Magdalena Vasquez of Freedom; her god mother, Anna Maria Gracia of Turlock and her adopted grandparents, Hector and Jenny Gracia of Watsonville. She was also survived by a large and loving extended family and many dear friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Patrick's Catholic Church, 721 Main St, Watsonville, CA on Wednesday May 26, 2010 at 4:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, CA.
