Obituary of Royce Melvin Nelson

Royce Melvin Nelson passed away on January 3, 2013 in Santa Cruz, at the age of 54. Royce was born in Winslow, Arizona, but his family moved to Santa Cruz while he was still an infant. He attended Natural Bridges Elementary and then Mission Hill Junior High School. Royce moved back to Arizona as a teenager, and attended and graduated from Tuba City High School. After high school, Royce moved back to Santa Cruz. He worked as an Auto Body Tech in Santa Cruz. Royce is survived by his mother, Eva Nelson of Bird Springs Reservation, AZ, brothers, Nathan Curtis, Jimmy, Gabriel and Joseph Nelson, sisters, Mae Avila, Judy Salazar and Rosalie Nelson Rendon and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert A. Nelson and his brother, Roy A. Nelson. A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held for Royce at the Harbor Light Tabernacle Church, 2008 17th Ave. in Santa Cruz on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 beginning at 11 am
