






Obituary of Steven W Tanksley
Steven W Tanksley passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of July 24th, 2023. Steven was born in Wasco, California. He then moved to Santa Cruz where he lived for 41 years. After graduating high-school, Steve joined the US Army and served as a Cavalry Scout overseas.
Steven was a loyal man and very family oriented. He had a ton of love to give to whoever crossed his path. Steven had a kind, gentle heart and no matter what he was going through he always kept a smile on his face. Steven saw life in a very positive way. He will be dearly missed.
Steven was a beloved father, husband, and friend. He leaves behind his wife Rosalinda, daughter Joann and two sons Jason and Shane. Also, sister Cammy Bader and brother-in-law Dan Bader from Santa Barbara, and brother Todd Forshey and sister-in-law Georgia Forshey, from Oregon.
Anyone who knew and loved Steve is invited to attend the following services in honor of his memory. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1st from 2pm-6pm with a Vigil Service will begin at 6pm at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St, Santa Cruz, CA 95062. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 2nd at 11am at Star Of the Sea Church, 515 Frederick St, Santa Cruz, CA 95062. On Monday, August 7th a Committal Service will be held at 9:30am at the Central Coast Veterans Cemetery (Fort Ord), 2900 Parker Flats Cut Off Rd, Seaside, CA 93955
