Obituary of Bonnie Jean Copp

February 2, 1951 – January 4, 2024

Lifelong Resident of Santa Cruz

Family and friends are mourning the loss of a beautiful daughter, mother, sister, and friend, Bonnie Copp, who passed away at her home following a brave battle that she fought against cancer.  She was 72.

Born to Louis Clark and Ethel Thomas Clark, Bonnie attended Bonny Doon Elementary, Mission Hill Jr. High, & Santa Cruz High School

Bonnie was a true artist in every sense of the word.  She graduated culinary school, and loved to dance. She saw beauty in people and in nature.

Bonnie was very talented at creative writing. She wrote many stories and poems throughout the years.

Bonnie worked in the late 70’s for WM. Wrigley and later in home health care, specializing in meal preparation for elderly.  She made countless friends with her patients and their families.  Her background in nutrition and food preparation allowed her to help comfort those with special dietary needs.

Bonnie is survived by her mother Ethel Clark of Santa Cruz; her children, Justin Clark, Mindi Frady, and Bambi Brenkwitz along with many beloved grandchildren.

She also leaves her sister and brother in law, Terrie and Kenny O’Connell of Santa Cruz, and her brother Dale Clark of Lincoln, CA.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Clark of Santa Cruz.

A private committal has taken place at Santa Cruz Memorial Park.
