Obituary of Maddox Andrew Purcell

Friends and family will gather on Friday in Santa Cruz to celebrate the life of Maddox Andrew Purcell who died in Santa Cruz on October 12, 2013 following a brave battle that he fought against respiratory disease. Maddox was born in Santa Cruz on April 6, 2013 and was loved immediately. His shortened life was abundantly filled with the love and care of many people; not only the care for his basic daily needs, but a love that touched all of his doctors, nurses and anyone who came to meet him. He will be forever cherished by his parents, Andrew Purcell and Lelah Searson Purcell, his older brother and sister, Tim Stayer and Cassidy Stayer, his aunt, Laurie Searson and his paternal grandmother, Anita Haws all who live in Santa Cruz. Maddox's journey with us would not have lasted as long or made as comfortable as it was, without the dedicated medical care provided to him by The Stanford Medical Group and Dr. Nicole Marisco of PAMF in Santa Cruz. The memorial service will be on Friday October 25, 2013 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel in Santa Cruz beginning at 2 p.m.
