Obituary of Charles Raymond McIntyre

Charles Raymond McIntyre 76, of Scotts Valley California, passed away on December 8, 2013, at home with family at his side, from complications of Parkinson's disease which he suffered from for many years. He was born to the union of Raymond Jerimiah McIntyre and Dora Emma McIntyre (nee Schilt) on February 4, 1937 in Salinas, California. He graduated from Salinas High School in 1954 where he excelled in football. He also attended Hartnell College and received his Associates degree before moving on to San Jose State. He attended the California National Guard and received an Honorable Discharge. He held many jobs over the years as a Production Supervisor locally and in Fresno, California, but his favorite position, was that of a Safety Supervisor with Cemex for seven years, before retiring in 1997 due to Parkinson's. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deanna; daughter Susan McFall and her husband Roger of Scotts Valley and son Marc McIntyre and his wife Beth of Bothell, Washington. He is also survived by seven grandchildren whom he truly adored and a host of other relatives and friends. Charles belonged to the Aptos Lions Club for many years and in his later years enjoyed walking, Wii-Bowling and especially loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He traveled to Hawaii, Arizona, the Mediterranean, England, Canada and Alaska. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Clubhouse at Spring Lakes Park, 225 Mt. Hermon Road in Scotts Valley, California.
