Obituary of Elizabeth Williams

Liz Williams, beloved wife, sister and friend of many, died peacefully at her home in the loving presence of her husband John and sister Mary. Liz was born at Parks Air Force Base, Pleasanton, California where her father, Col. Morton D. Magoffin, was then stationed. The family settled in Pleasanton and Liz attended Pleasanton Elementary and Amador High School. Following college, she moved to the West Peninsula, where she became a supervisor for customer relations in the airline industry. Liz eventually settled in the Santa Cruz area in 1987 where she was employed as a technical writer for S.C.O. She and her husband were long term residents of Scotts Valley, where Liz's unique sense of taste could be felt throughout their warm and welcoming home in subtle classic touches. Liz generously volunteered her energy and talents, tutoring students and dedicating much of her time and resources to various animal charities and agencies. A lover of all animals, she cared for many in her lifetime. Liz will forever be remembered as a giving person, who never cared for fanfare or accolades. Liz was an accomplished writer, a creative cook, and talented multimedia artist who loved drawing. She was a music aficionada. Among her favorite artists were Adele, Tony Bennet, Tom Waites, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Etta James, and Leon Russell. She is survived by her loving family: husband John Andrich of thirty years, her two sisters, Ann Guensch, and Mary Magoffin, her wonderful step-mother of many years, Marguerite Magoffin, and her childhood friend and soul sister, Sue Price. Liz was preceded in death by her mother Amy June Magoffin and her father Col. Morton D. Magoffin. We will celebrate her gentle spirit and say farewell with Liz's favorite music on January 20, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz. Any kind acts of charity may be made in her name to your local animal shelters or a charity of your choice.
