Obituary of Mark Brian Watson

Mark Brian Watson Services will be held on Monday, June 21, in Ben Lomond for Mark Watson who passed away in Santa Cruz on June 15, 2010. Born in Alameda, California, he was 55 years old. Mark has been a resident of Santa Cruz County since 1979. Affectionately known as "Guitar Mark" throughout the San Lorenzo Valley, he loved to play his guitar and express himself through music. He both wrote and published music, and will be remembered and missed as one of the San Lorenzo Valley's beloved characters. He attended Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Ben Lomond, and leaves many dear friends in the San Lorenzo Valley. He is survived by his sister, Randi Sue Watson of Guerneville, CA. his step-mother, Lucinda Watson of Orinda, and his dear friends, Dorothy Smith of Felton and Kathie Gerrity of Boulder Creek. Friends may pay their respects at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church (9980 Highway 9 in Ben Lomond) on Saturday June 19th, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m and on Sunday June 20th, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be at the church on Monday, June 21, beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Felton District Cemetery.
