Marie Aubuchon

Obituary of Marie Louise Aubuchon

Marie Aubuchon passed peacefully on Saturday Nov. 22nd at the age of 68 years, after having had MS for 36 years. Marie was born in San Mateo, CA to Henry and Bernadette Bigot. She moved to Santa Cruz, CA with her two children in 1971 where she lived until her passing. Before her MS, Marie worked at De Laveaga Golf course as a top waitress and hostess of many celebrations and events. Always with a smile and great attitude. She was a very hard worker till the day she was diagnosed. She had an infectious and bubbly personality throughout her illness, never complaining or asking, "Why me"? She dealt with each stage of MS with grace and dignity. Marie was a warrior and was so strong and brave though it all. She had an amazingly strong soul and a very witty humor we all enjoyed. Marie loved attending family events, weddings, births and being with her grandchildren. Marie will be missed dearly. Marie is survived by her children Michelle Noland and Todd Aubuchon, and son-in-law Bruce Noland. Her brother Jim Bigot and sister Barbara Doane; her grandchildren, Bruce Noland, Jr., Shane Noland and wife Jenny, Briana, Josh and Shelby Noland, and Taj Aubuchon; great grandchildren Hailey and Shane Jr. She is also survived by her former husband, Vaughn Aubuchon. Marie really loved Mia the dog, who always brought joy and love to her. Marie was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Bernadette Bigot and her brother, John Bigot. The family would like to thank everyone at Hearts and Hands and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care of Marie. Special thanks to Hearts and Hands for the care of Marie this last year. She loved you all and she felt like it was a home to her. We couldn't have asked for better care and love for our Marie. Memorial contributions may be sent the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1700 Owens St, Suite 190, San Francisco, CA 94158. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
