Obituary of Billy Patterson

Billy was born & raised in Sacramento. He passed peacefully in Soquel after a five week battle with myelodysplasia. He was 64 years old. He served his country in the US Navy in Vietnam, later becoming active in the Aptos VFW Post #10110 by volunteering with fellow veterans on many projects. For 14 years he lived in Tahoe City, working at Alpine Meadows even during the avalanche of 1982. He then headed North to Fairbanks, Alaska to work for the Feds, adventuring to building cabins on Mt. Denali and other far off sites. He truly loved his job. Upon reuniting with Lori, Billy moved to Soquel & became a General Contractor for the next two decades, as well as a father to two sons; Spencer and Carson. Probably the biggest San Francisco Giants fan in five counties, his orange and black Camaro notwithstanding, his greatest joy was attending Giants games with his family and dearest friends. Winning the 2010 & 2012 World Series' was the epiphany of his fandom. He is survived by his loving family: wife Lori Giuliani Patterson, children Spencer & Carson Combs, soon to be daughter in law Aby Mahan, father in law Frank Giuliani, in laws Frank & Cathie Giuliani, niece & nephew Ashley and Dominic Giuliani, all of Aptos, mother Mildred and sister Sharon (Jay) of Fresno, cousin Karen (Dan) of Rio Vista, and best friend Rusty Witwer (Jeanie) of Grass Valley. Billy enjoyed family, friends, golfing, fishing, a good joke, classic cars, and a nice glass of bourbon. Friends and family are invited to Seacliff Inn on Saturday June 7th from 2-4pm to celebrate his joyful life. Giants and/or orange & black attire is encouraged.
