Obituary of Ricardo Guerrero

Ricardo "Ricky" Guerrero passed away unexpectedly on May 31st, 2014. Ricky was a very smart and curious little boy who was sensitive, playful and was considered a big joker who loved to laugh and say silly things. Ricky was emotionally impacted by children's cancer, and planned on studying medicine and spending his life helping cancer patients. Ricky really loved holding, mentoring and playing with his nieces and nephews, and always looked forward to family summer trips to Nacimiento Lake, CA; it was a family traditon. He was very passionate about video games and loved playing PlayStation, especially, Call of Duty. Ricky was often found disassembling electronics and experimenting with them, and his favorite foods were pizza and nachos. He spent most of his weekends with his life long best friend Oscar. Ricardo is survived by his father Moises Guerrero, his mother Dora Guerrero, his brothers Olivo, Javier, and Erick Guerrero, and his sisters Yara De La Rosa and Kenya Guerrero. Ricky also left behind his brother in-law Jaime De La Rosa, nieces Zulema Meza, Nicolette Guerrero, Cynthia and Viviana De La Rosa, and nephews Gael De La Rosa, and Anthony Guerrero. Ricky will be greatly missed. A visitation for Ricky will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz on Friday, June 13th, 2014 beginning at 1:00 pm, a rosary will follow at 7:00 pm. The Mass will be on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 515 Frederick St. in Santa Cruz, beginning at 2:00 pm.
