Obituary of Charles (Nick) Nicholas Costa

Charles Nicholas (Nick) Costa, Jr. passed away at the age of 71. He was born in Scranton, PA on January 14, 1943, the son of Charles Nicholas Costa, Sr. and Alice Costa. He served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne. He worked as an SBA Loan Officer, a commercial artist and a Restaurateur. Nick was an artist, an actor, a poet, a photographer and an activist. He enjoyed football and was an avid Raider's fan. He was a music lover and was described by his family as a kind and loving father and a rabble rouser. He was a member of the Santa Cruz Art League. He was "Pasha Heath-Wilson's best boyfriend". He is survived by his daughters, JoAnne Costa and Holly Miller; his son, Charles Nicholas Costa, III; a brother, Tony Costa; a sister, Cathy Costa; and is also survived by his granddaughters, Krystal Grawin and Emerald Costa and his grandson, Winter Costa. A memorial and celebration of his life will be held at La Posada Retirement Community, 609 Frederick St., Santa Cruz, CA on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 11 am. This celebration will be a Pot Luck memorial service and please park on the street.
