Obituary of Dennis Wayne Jahnigen

Dennis Jahnigen passed away at Dominican Hospital after a brief illness on April 11, 2014. He was born in Oakland, California to musicians Ray Jahnigen and Lois Feeley and raised by his maternal grandparents Charles and Leila Feeley. Dennis lived the majority of his life in Capitola. One of Dennis' most defining characteristics was his infectious enthusiasm; he was passionate about his family, astronomy, music, religion, aeronautics, model trains and many other hobbies he pursued throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, his sons Royce and Brian Krilanovich, and brothers-in-law Robert, Jack, and James Wieland. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Wynnifred d'Lyon-Jahnigen, sisters Nola Ratzsch, Charla Cross, and Faye Jahnigen, as well as many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A memorial Mass at Resurrection Catholic Church in Aptos on Saturday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. will follow a private family Mass and burial.
