Obituary of Lawrence Stephen Major

October 17, 1955 – October 25,2014 A memorial service is planned for friends and family to say farewell to our brother and friend, Lawrence Major who passed away at his home following a lengthy illness. He was 59 years old. Lawrence was born in Washim, India to Tom and Faye Major. His parents were missionaries in India. Lawrence and his brothers and sister were all born there and returned periodically to Santa Cruz. Lawrence leaves behind friends and acquaintances at Rose Acres in Felton. He is survived by his brothers Tom Major of Seattle, Mark Major of Santa Cruz, and his sister and brother-in-law, Julia and Nick Moysich of Eugene, Oregon. Friends and family will gather in Monschke Hall of the Twin Lakes Church campus (2901 Cabrillo College Drive) in Aptos on Saturday, November 29th beginning at 11 a.m. You may visit www.pacificgardenschapel.com to share your reflections and prayers with his family. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Soquel Cemetery beside his parents Tom and Faye Major.
