Obituary of Selma Fine Goldfield

Selma Fine Goldfield, passed away in Aptos on November 17, 2014 after a short illness. She was 85 years of age. Selma was born in New York on May 3, 1929, the daughter of William and Birdie Fine. She grew up in New York and Los Angeles. She attended UCLA and San Francisco State where she earned a Bachelors and Masters Degree in English Literature. Selma was a former resident of San Mateo and Solano Beach before moving to Santa Cruz to be closer to her daughter. She worked as a Dental Receptionist and also an English Literature Teacher. She enjoyed volunteering as a storyteller for library groups. She is survived by her daughter, Jan Brandon; sons, Jerry Adlin and Steve Adlin and his wife, Linda; brother, E.J. Fine and granddaughter, Robin Brandon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Samuel Goldfield, DDS. A private family service will be held at Salem Memorial Park, Colma, California.
