Obituary of Ricky Allen Fleming

Ricky Allen Fleming passed away on June 26th, 2014, at the age of 58 surrounded by friends and family. Rick was born and raised in Fresno and later moved to Santa Cruz. He attended Branciforte Junior High, in Santa Cruz as well as Washington Union High in Fresno. Rick spent most of his life as a truck driver working for his grandfather, father, and later his own trucking company, he most recently worked for the Professional Asbestos Removing Corporation (PARC) in Fresno until his illness forced him to retire. Rick had many talents, he was a cook, and enjoyed camping, boating, and riding his Harley Motorcycle. Rick passed away before he was able to complete his dream of restoring his 1946 Chevy truck. Rick left his loved ones way too soon and his presence is already missed. Rick was known for his keen whit and great sense of humor, gentle nature, and for his generosity in helping those that were down and out. His doors were always open. Rick had a gift of stealing everyone's hearts with a smile of acceptance. He is survived by his daughter Mollie Fleming of Capitola, who he loved more than life, and her mother and best friend Candie Fleming of Fresno, and he is the wonderful son of Margaret Amos of Capitola, Father Dan Fleming of Fresno, his brothers Keith Rasmussen of Watsonville, and Richard Matthews of Fresno, sister Monique Rutland from Canada, and half-sister Nicole Pittman of Fresno, Uncle Melvin Rasmussen of Fresno, Auntie Carmen Young of Santa Cruz, cousins Cindy Carevai of Potter Valley, Jamie and Jay Leverett of Santa Cruz, and dear friend Donna Prudeaux of Santa Cruz, four nephew's and four niece's. The family requests any donations be made to American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org, A Celebration of Hope in Jesus: Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 4:30 pm at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church 1024 Cayuga St. Santa Cruz, CA.
