Obituary of Craig Iman Barker

Craig Barker, 82, passed away December 29th due to a heart condition. He was a Wisconsin native and a graduate of Whittier College in Southern California. He taught elementary, junior high and high school in the Southland before moving North in 1968. In the San Lorenzo Unified School District he taught elementary grades and became principal of the adult-evening school and at Quail Hallow Elementary. In 1973 he became principal of Boulder Creek Elementary and in 1991 with the help of teachers and parents opened Redwood Elementary. He retired in 1993, after 25 years in the district. He's survived by his wife of 60 years Catherine and sons Kurt Barker and Karl Barker. Four grandchildren Myranda, Aubrey, Genevieve and Gaige Barker. In honor of his request there will not be a Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Boulder Creek Fire Department, or to Valley Churches United Missions.
