Obituary of Jesus Rodriguez Mendez

Jesus Rodriguez Mendez passed away on October 23, 2013 in Merced County, he was 67 years old. Jesus was born on October 20th, 1946 in Mississippi to Santos M. Mendez and Mary G. Rodriguez, both from Texas. Jesus was raised in Lemoore California and attended Lemoore Elementary school as well as Lemoore High School, and later attended Watsonville High school. Jesus earned a certificate in Auto Mechanic education and later worked at Salz Tannery, Pacific Coast Produce and later at Lone Star cement plant in Davenport, CA. He loved to fish and to go camping and to hunt during his free time. Jesus enjoyed RV road trips and repairing automobiles, as well as bowling. Jesus is survived by his two sons, Jesse Zepada, and Jesse Mendez, and his three daughters; Traci Mendez, Nikida Mendez and Dominique Mendez. Jesus is survived by his loving companion Theresa Tranchita and his step-son Chris Tranchita. Jesus is also survived by 6 brothers; Santos R. Mendez, Gabino R. Mendez, Francisco R. Mendez, David R. Mendez, John R. Mendez, Ramiro R. Mendez and his sister Irene Mendez'Plowman. Jesus also leaves behind his sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel. There will be a potluck barbeque at the Star of the Sea Church, in the Parish Hall, friends are welcome to join from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2013.
