Obituary of Evelyn C. Bonanni

The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday in San Francisco for Evelyn Bonanni who passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at her Santa Cruz home on August 6th. Born in San Francisco to Livia and Victor Vatuone, she was a long time parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in North Beach. Mrs. Bonanni was married to her husband of 41 years, Luigi Bonanni, and the couple resided in San Francisco where they raised their daughter, Victoria. Mr. Bonanni preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Bonanni moved to Santa Cruz to be near her daughter and family in 2007, and leaves many dear friends and caregivers at Dominican Oaks, where she enjoyed her final years. She will be remembered as a loving mother, nonna, and friend. Her family was very important to her. She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Randy Delucchi of Soquel, CA along with her granddaughters, Valerie and Aimee Delucchi. She was the loving sister to the late Mary Ardizoia and sister-in-law to Rugger Aridzoia and Agnes and Mario Bonanni. She leaves many relatives and friends. Mass will be celebrated on Wed., Aug 13, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church (666 Filbert St., SF, CA) beginning at 10:30 AM. Friends may pay their respects at the church on Wed. morning beginning at 9:45 AM. Burial will follow at the Italian Cemetery in Colma where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Luigi and her parents. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Santa Cruz County and the caregivers of Frances Kuo, LLC. Any kind acts of charity can be made in her memory to Hospice of Santa Cruz County or St. Anthony Foundation, 150 Golden Gate Ave., SF 94102.
