Obituary of Randy Allen Costere

Randy was born at Dominican Hospital. He attended Holy Cross Elementary School and graduated from Harbor High. He later attended Cabrillo College. Before becoming an employee at Dominican, he was a Junior Volunteer throughout high school. Randy worked at Plaza Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech and later transferred to the main hospital. Randy loved wake boarding, snowboarding (he learned to ski at age 3), but most of all he loved jet skiing and paint balling with his son Tyler. We will cherish memories of family trips especially to Lake San Antonio and Lake Tahoe. He lived his life to the fullest. The greatest love he shared in his life was with his son Tyler and his family. He found such joy watching Tyler play baseball and was always taking pictures of him. He was his son's biggest fan. Randy will be remembered by all for his curiosity of life, his dare devil ways, and his inane love of being a prankster, his outgoing nature, kindness, beautiful smile and heart of gold. He is survived by his son, Tyler Costere; parents, Bob and Carol Costere of Aptos; sister, Nicole Costere of San Jose; grandparents, Dick and Imogene Rufener of Hemet; aunts, Donna (David) Wright of Las Vegas, Susie (Gary) Woods of Valencia, Collette Costere of Aptos, Michele (Dan) McClendon of San Jose; uncles, Jim (Eve) Costere of Lake Elsinor, John Costere of San Jose; God parents, Deanie and Carey Lindgren of Santa Cruz, and his many cousins. He was preceded in death by Grandma Zedmere Costere. God called our sweet son way too soon, but now he is without pain. We miss him deeply but he will live in our hearts and thoughts forever. We love you, Randoodle. Services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Benito & Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St., Santa Cruz, CA.
