I still think about you almost every day and I miss knowing that you are in the world. You are a rascal and a charmer. You always charmed me, no matter how bad it was with me, you charmed. When it came to the end, you did not let me know. Charmers gunna charm.
I will never forget those sushi dinners we shared in your room watching football. I hated football, and I hated your choice of sushi restaurant.
We never would have seen each other that much if you were not house-bound at the time, because charmers gunna roam as well!
D, I miss you nobody ever was like you.

Don was a great guy who always had some good laughs to share. I last talked to him at our 45 Santa Cruz High School reunion and had not seen him for some time and he told me about his family and what he had been doing over the years. He will be missed, he was our 1967 SCHS President- and I always knew he would succeed- Peace to his family in the this difficult time of your lives- Jeff

I want to extend to you and your family my deepest sympathy. It is tragic when we lose someone in death. But soon those tears of sadness are going to change to tears of joy. God's purpose for mankind is going to be fulfilled and we will no longer experience suffering and death. We have that promise given to us at Revelation 21:4. We also have the hope of seeing those we have lost in death, once again, here on earth as Acts 24:15 brings out. I do hope that you find comfort in this.

We will remember Donnie fondly from our many neighborhood walks over many years past the Lowery house. He had a radiant smile and was always ready with a big hello. One year Donnie, Zelma and Carmelita celebrated their April birthdays with a free dinner at Ideal Fish on the wharf. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our condolences to the family.
