Obituary of Howard Albert Bittner

Lieutenant Colonel Howard A. Bittner, 90, passed away in Napa, CA on Dec. 9, 2013. Colonel Bittner, formerly of Aptos, was retired after thirty years in the U. S. Military in the Navy, Army and Air Force. He served on the U. S. S. Enterprise during WWII, and also served in Korea and in Vietnam as well as in the Strategic Air Command. He was the re cipient of many medals and commendations. He is survived and will be missed by his sister, Doris Stewart; stepson, Ron Lessack and his wife Judi; stepdaughter, Marcy Lessack and her fianc Ray Stirbeck; step-grandchildren David Lessack and Suzanne and her husband Kevin Hayen. He was predeceased in death by his loving wife Lillian Bittner. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
