Obituary of Felisha Eva Lopez

June 2, 1981 – May 30, 2023

Lifelong Resident of Santa Cruz

Family and friends are mourning the loss of a loving mother, daughter, sister,aunt, niece, and trusted friend, Felisha Lopez who passed away unexpectedly here on May 30, just 3 days before her 42^nd birthday. Born in Santa Cruz, Felisha graduated from Soquel High School and earned her associate’s degree in science at Cabrillo College. She excelled in the classroom at a very early age, and was active in girl scouts, and dance; performing with many dance troupes. Felisha was a high school cheerleader and a talented singer too.

Her family will forever cherish the memories of Felisha’s energy and spirit while coaching youth cheer camps.

At the time of her passing, she was working as a caregiver for a home health care agency.  Felisha was a lover of people, and many of her elderly clients will miss her uplifting spirit and eagerness to be of aid.

Felisha leaves her beloved boys: Andrew Ramirez , Michael and Matthew LopezMonjaraz ; her mother and step-father, Sylvia Robledo Schadlick and Robert Schadlick of Rawlins, Wyoming; her sisters and brother-in-law, Jessica Lopez Monjaraz and Jesus Monjaraz of Santa Cruz and Lindsey Schadlick and her children of Carmichael, CA. She also survived by her two, brothers: Jose Lopez Jr. and Giovanni Lopez;  her maternal grandparents, Leonela “Nelly ” and Raymond Garcia; her aunts and uncles; Mae  Avila,Carlos and (Adela )Avila, Maricela and (Lupe )Avila Garcia, Frances Avila, Linda Gobbo, Patricia Garcia, Freddy (Rachel) Alonso San Juanita “Janie” Lopez, Francisca Kika Lopez, Roy Lopez (Sandy), Ignacio “Nacho” Lopez, Antonio (Sylvia) Lopez, Freddy Lopez, Jessie Lopez, and numerous loving nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Felisha was preceded in death by her father Jose L. Lopez Sr.; her paternal grandparents Bonifacio Lopez and Eva Rangel Lopez, her maternal great grandparents Patricia and Luis Avila, her uncles; Silverio Avila, Joe Avila, Albert Avila, Lupe Avila.

A viewing will be on Monday, June 12 at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday June 13 beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel.   Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery.
